We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals according to our menu standards, ensuring that every dish is presented beautifully and served promptly.
Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and cooking of all hot side dishes in the entremetier section (vegetables, starches, soups, etc.).
Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of all dishes in the entremetier section.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet service times during peak hours.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Manage inventory for the entremetier section, ensuring proper stock levels and notifying the chef when supplies are low.
Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques while preparing ingredients for dishes.
Experience
Proven experience working on the hot line in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Strong working knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods for hot foods.
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a busy kitchen environment.
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working in a high-energy, time-sensitive environment.
