Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
Assist in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
Participate in menu planning and development as needed
Place weekly orders
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and meal preparation methods
Previous experience in the food industry is essential
