Kitchen Line Cook

Our company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced line cook to join our team. As a Line cook, you would be responsible to prepare and deliver to Dinner service, providing a high standard of fresh food in a busy hotel restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Take control of the dinner service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable dinner. Cooking and managing dinner service and assisting with closing duties. Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen after the dinner rush. Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times. Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions. Ensure all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity. Ensure the department is operated within the appropriate legislation and the appropriate records are maintained up-to-date. Ensure any anticipated issues are communicated promptly to the Head Chef/kitchen supervisor. Collect feedback from the guest during the service session and report to Executive chef on any complaints or issues. Personal grooming and appearance standards are met regarding cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene. Adhere to recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met Keeps overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensures proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food Maintain respectful work environment demonstrating integrity and teamwork Keeps workstation clean and organized including fridge's/freezers, countertops, and stove tops Assist with producing menus and new dishes. Adhere to Health & Safety policies and regulations. Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally. Attend training courses as and when required. Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications



Must be:

Passionate about producing high quality food. Minimum 2-3 years experience Food Safe, Safe Check, Food Handler or equivalent certificate (preferred) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able to stand, push, pull, and kneel with ease Must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays Passionate about producing high quality food Able to tackle every task given to you with the highest levels of enthusiasm

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
