Duties



Prepare and cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards. Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary trends and guest preferences. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations. Support food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food with precision and care. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques to produce high-quality dishes consistently. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management when stock levels need replenishing.

Experience



Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Exposure to fine dining settings or culinary arts programs is a plus, showcasing your dedication to quality cuisine. Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience can enhance your ability to accommodate special dietary needs safely. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling practices and sanitation procedures. Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, catering, or serving will help you excel in this role. Proven kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency with cooking techniques, knife skills, and food industry best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and delivering excellent customer service.
