Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
Support restaurant management in supervising junior staff when required, fostering a positive team environment.
Ensure timely serving of dishes, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
Leadership qualities with prior supervising or team management experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the food industry trends and restaurant operations is advantageous.
