Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and service. This role is essential in maintaining efficient kitchen operations and delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is required, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards. The Prep Cook will work closely with the culinary team to support meal preparation and uphold the restaurant's standards for quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly Assist in food preparation tasks such as portioning, marinating, and assembling dishes according to recipes and specifications Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness Support the cooking team during busy periods by providing prepared ingredients as needed Ensure all food items are stored properly with correct labeling and rotation practices Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation and hygiene standards

Skills

Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food industry best practices Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members Basic knowledge of food industry regulations related to cleanliness and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
