We are looking for a Lift Hole/Boring Mill Operator for our Windsor, Ontario facility. Must be available to work any shift and relocate or reside in the Windsor-Essex region.

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Prepare machine for production by:

Following pre-use inspection procedures as per work instruction and control plan Setting up tooling, controls and programming
2) Process parts as specified by:

Studying job orders and applying knowledge of materials and processes Monitoring & regulating process Maintaining job specifications by using various types of measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, depth mics, hold gauges, edge finders, tape measures, etc. Checking quality as per work instructions and control plans Notifying supervision to obtain additional information if necessary
3) Ensure operation of equipment by:

Detecting and troubleshooting malfunctions Inspecting parts Completing preventative maintenance requirements as necessary
4) Ensure safe and clean environment by:

Complying with safety rules and procedures
5) Contribute to team effort by:

Performing related duties as instructed in a respectful manner Availability to work overtime when necessary

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND OTHER SKILLS

Previous milling machine experience is an asset Manufacturing background working with steel is required Strong shop math & blueprint reading skills Strong attendance, safety and quality record
