Canadian Health Labs (CHL) is seeking Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Licensed Practical Nurses for travel assignments throughout predominantly French New Brunswick communities, providing health services in a hospital setting. The Licensed Practical Nurse monitors and delivers nursing care to clients as directed by the Health Authorities\xe2\x80\x99 care plan and follows all required internal and external professional practice standards.

This is a TRAVEL LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSING role. Applicants must be willing to be deployed in New Brunswick for 30 days or more. We offer flexible agreement lengths, with long-term deployment incentives available. All travel, accommodation and provincial nursing licensure costs are 100% covered by CHL.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Being Bilingual in French and English in a medical setting is a strong asset.
  • Diploma/Degree (LPN) and proof of good standing with the governing body of your province.
  • As a NICU Licensed Practical Nurse, we require two (2) years of full-time experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care.
  • Proficient clinical skills in assessment, physical examination, and nursing intervention.
  • Ability to establish relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and recognize when consultation is needed.
  • Microsoft Windows-based programs competency.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns (ACoRN) is an asset
  • T.A.B.L.E. certification is an asset
Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination as per provincial Covid-19 Immunization and Management Policy.

Criminal records and vulnerable sector checks will be required.
