The LPN is responsible and accountable to the public for his/her own practice according to the standards defined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing and the policies, standards and procedures of the IWK Health Centre. The LPN applies practical nursing theory in the assessment of patients, collaboration in the development of the nursing care plan, implementation of the care plan and ongoing evaluation of the patient. The LPN works in consultation with RN colleagues and participate in the care and delivery of Family Centred Care in the Pediatric OR consistent with the philosophy, objectives, vision and mission of the IWK Health Centre. The LPN, in Perioperative Services, scrubs for surgical procedures and performs a circulating role in collaboration with an RN as per the ORNAC Standards of Practice.Hours of Work8 hour shifts, rotating and on-call shifts including weekendsYour Qualifications
