Kiwanis Nursing Home is a compassionate, resident-centered nursing home dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a supportive, home-like environment. By joining us, you will be joining approximately 150 other caring and amazing staff members in our 100-bed home in Sussex.

We currently have full-time and casual vacancies for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

Our LPN team leaders are an important part of the care team, which also includes Registered Nurses and Resident Attendants (PSWs). LPNs provide nursing services to residents in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN). We are looking for energetic and keen LPN's who are registered with ANBLPN.

Eligibility for $15,000 Nursing Retention Bonus

8-hour and 12-hour shift arrangements (days, evenings, and nights) to facilitate 24-hour care for our residents Support for furthering education, should you ever decide to return to school to upgrade your skills Paid ongoing educational/training opportunities Breaktime treats on a regular basis (not a formal part of your contract, but a definite perk!)

NB Nursing Retention Bonus:

Kiwanis Nursing Home is offering a retention bonus payment of up to

$15,000

for any registered nurses and licensed practical nurses employed in permanent positions with us. You may be eligible for this bonus.

Student Loan Forgiveness:

Kiwanis Nursing Home is located in a community designated for Canada Student Loan forgiveness, and you may be eligible for up to $20,000 in loan forgiveness if you meet Canada Student Loan requirements (you must apply separately).

Current registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses Demonstrated ability to work with a team Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use them with residents, their families, visitors, and other team members Physically capable of performing assigned duties

Flexibility to work all types of shifts available (days, evenings, nights)

Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to other care team members A conscientious and responsible personality that is adaptable and willing to lead as we embark on projects to improve the lives of our residents The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical, vulnerable sector check, and Department of Social Development background check as a condition of employment.
