The Opportunity

We're hiring 1 full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the role of Life Coach / Home Support Worker to join a dynamic care team supporting a bright, creative 19-year-old with medical, cognitive, and emotional/behavioural challenges.
This unique opportunity offers both complex care clinical experience and personal connection ideal for LPNs who want to grow their therapeutic, planning, and life skills coaching abilities while being part of a supportive and respectful work culture.
What You'll Do
? Create and maintain a consistent daily calendar of personal routines, appointments, therapies, recreational outings, and life coach responsibilities
? Provide compassionate medical monitoring, medication administration, and health documentation
? Coach and model life skills, emotional regulation, and social development
? Accompany the client to medical and therapeutic appointments and community activities
? Collaborate with a close-knit care team, family members, and professionals
? Foster a home environment that prioritizes safety, dignity, autonomy, and joy
? Maintain documentation on client progress, changes, and service cancellations
? Stay overnight during shifts (overnight sleep shift with potential care duties)
Ideal Candidate

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
in good standing with BCCNM
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills
? Passionate about working one-on-one and building relationships over time
? Comfortable supporting a young adult with complex behavioural and medical care needs.
? Skilled in observation, documentation, and medical care planning
? Open to feedback, learning, and collaborative care
Certifications & Requirements
? Diploma in Practical Nursing
? CPR C / First Aid (can be completed upon hiring)
? MANDT or NVCI certification (can be completed upon hiring)
? Clear Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults (completed upon hiring)
? Valid BC Driver's License and clean abstract
Compensation
? $672 per 24-hour shift, depending on experience (includes sleep hours)
? Additional on-call or casual shifts may become available
? Compensation is reviewed regularly to stay competitive with LPN wage scales
Schedule
? Full-time: Two 24-hour shifts per week (e.g., Sunday 8pm to Tuesday 8pm, Tuesday 8 pm to Thursday 8 pm, Thursday 8 pm to Saturday 8 pm)
? Shift flexibility and trading supported within the team
