Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring plumbing systems operate safely and effectively, adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks accurately. Conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues or leaks within plumbing infrastructure. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installations or repairs. Assembling components with precision to ensure proper fit and function. Applying basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installations. Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations. Assisting with other maintenance tasks as required within the scope of plumbing work.

Requirements

Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair work. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and general building maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations. Experience with carpentry is advantageous but not essential. Valid commercial driving licence preferred for transporting materials or equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety standards and possess excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A valid driving licence and experience with mechanical or construction-related tasks will be considered advantageous for this role.

Pay: $31.42-$46.66 per hour
