JOB GRADE: Grade 6 to Grade 8, depending on qualifications

McCain Foods (Canada) has an immediate opening for a career-focused maintenance team member who holds an Industrial Mechanic\'s License in the Province of New Brunswick or who is currently indentured and apprenticing to become a Licensed Industrial Mechanic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fully licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or in the Industrial Mechanic Apprentice Program with minimum Block 1, 40-week Pre-Employment
• Proven stainless steel sanitary welding ability.
• Self-motivated individual with good organizing and coordinating skills with a proven track record.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Observant and detail-minded with a natural sense of urgency
• Effectively use SAP system for work orders
• Above-average knowledge of PC\'s, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)

DUTIES:

• Day position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Provide vacation coverage and additional support for Shift Mechanics. (i.e. dinner coverage & line support when required) for Shift Mechanics, when necessary.
• Responsible for proactive repairs of all equipment in the plant including Pocket Racks, SS Production Carts and other carts/tubs.
• Completion of assigned PMs, BOPs and related documentation.
• Observe equipment and component conditions while doing jobs and provide feedback as appropriate.
• Provide all information requested on feedback forms as part of completing jobs.
• Comply with GMP\'s, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures
• Willing and able to work weekends when required.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal. Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will be held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above. An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate\'s suitability to the position. Shifts are subject to change and are not guaranteed due to scheduling demands.
