$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Licensed Journeyman Truck Transport Mechanic to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. We work on a fleet of trucks specialized for waste hauling. In our shop we diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems as well as engine and emission systems. We complete preventative maintenance as well as brake, suspension and driveline repairs. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.
We offer top hourly wages and shift incentives, and as this is a union position, you get great benefits and a pension plan. We supply boots, uniforms, and any necessary PPE.
Shift timing: Tuesday to Friday - 2:00 pm to 12:30 am (4X10s)
Hourly rate: $40.24 per hour
Location: Winnipeg - 375 Oak Point Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R2R 1T9
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Equivalent or 3rd and 4th year apprenticeship.
- 2-3 years with waste experience would be an asset, but not necessary.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests.
- Mack truck experience an asset.
- Welding and hydraulic experience also an asset.
- Class 3 would be an asset.
- Manitoba safety certificate.
