Position:
We are seeking a BC Licensed Early Childhood Educator to work at our thriving licensed Children's Centre in Invermere. We run an Infant/Toddler program, Group 3 to 5 program, and Out-of-School care.
We can assist with transferring a license from another Canadian Province.
The wage indicated is commensurate with experience
The BC ECE Wage Enhancement is included in the indicated wage range
About the Position:
The position would require someone who is alert, joyful and physically fit, to work in a busy and dynamic environment. A creative team player, whose responsibility and conscientiousness would contribute to our caring environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of childcare programs that address all domains of learning, including physical, cognitive, creative, emotional, and social development.
Ensure programming contributes to emerging curriculum based on children's needs and interests and relevant topics that address respect for self, each other, and the environment.
Follow Dragonfly Policies and Procedures along with BC Licensing requirements.
Deliver all early childhood education activities, including health, safety & nutrition, fine & gross motor activities, storytelling, literacy & numeracy work, songs, mechanisms of creative expression through various forms of expression, and self care skills that promote independence.
Contribute to care of the facility and its equipment.
Prioritize positive, open, and healthy relationships with parents, co-workers, and community.

The facility is a renovated heritage building in downtown Invermere - close to the beach and playgrounds. We have a bright character building with a gym, huge yards, pump track, old growth trees, fun playground equipment, summer outdoor water play, a bunny, fish and gardens.

Qualifications
Experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years old, in a caregiving setting
Strong background in early childhood education
Effective teaching skills and strategies tailored to engage young learners
Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children

Candidate will require a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
