Licensed Mechanic

We are currently seeking a

Licensed Mechanic

and a helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial truck and trailer mechanics, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Ideally we are looking for someone with the ability to move into management roles in the near future.

Must have experience with Freightliner, Mack and Volvo

Pay Structure:

$35-37 per hour for licensed truck mechanic

Pay for helper depends upon experience

Responsibilities:

Perform routine truck and trailer maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations. Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in commercial truck and trailer repair. Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' problems and provide accurate repair recommendations. Inspect vehicles according to the state's requirements for emissions and safety. Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness. Maintain an active commercial mechanic license that is valid and in good standing. Experience at a proper commercial vehicle repair shop or dealership. Maintain our electronic records; and be proficient in the use of computers and out software platform Fullbay.

Qualifications:

Valid mechanic license 310T Mandatory with at least 5 years of experience. Helper should have at least 2 years of experience. Proven experience as an auto mechanic. Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods. Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment. Excellent physical condition. Ability to manage a team of techs. Management Experience
