Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while adhering to all safety regulations. We specialize in high end residental projects and seek a dedicated individual who is eager to expand their knowledge and skills within the trade.

Working at Heights (from a Ministry of Labour approved Training Provider) Elevated Work Platform Worker Health & Safety Awareness WHMIS Must be a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario (formerly OCOT).

Candidate must live within 40km of in City or Toronto.

Responsibilities:



Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems. Good knowledge of various test equipment. Requirements: Completion of electrician apprenticeship. Experience working as an electrician. High school diploma. Valid driver's license. Electrician degree from a technical college. Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair knowledge. Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical systems. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Certifications:



Registered Training Agreement, Provisional Certificate of Qualification, or Certificate of Qualification. Completion of a four- to five-year apprenticeship program. Trade certification for construction electricians is compulsory in Ontario.

Skills:



Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong leadership and project management abilities. Proficient in estimating time of electrical repairs and installations. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and the Canadian Electrical Code (ECE). Proficiency in using power tools Proficiency speaking, reading and writing in English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
