The Role



This role will be providing service to our clients in the Greater Edmonton Area. As a service electrician at IGC, you are the face of the company to our clients while on site. It is of utmost importance that the ideal candidate for this role is comfortable communicating professionally in person, as well as digitally. The successful candidate will be required to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical assets. They will also create accurate work orders and estimates for repairs required including time and materials. The ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and service required.

The successful candidate will be expected to be tech savvy, a team player that possess the technical knowledge to be able to investigate and troubleshoot with a high degree of proficiency while being able to report on their findings in a quick and detailed manner.

Responsibilities



Electricians

work in cooperation with other trades

and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation, and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all electrical is installed, repaired, while always adhering to safety standards and

building code

regulations. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment and components in various settings Installing conduit and wire, terminating conductors Troubleshooting circuitry and replacing damaged components on commercial equipment and systems Installing fixtures and devices for commercial applications and systems Ordering required parts and controlling all job materials using our computer system Completing work orders as per client specifications and input; reviewing the completed job with the customer, to ensure complete satisfaction Always maintaining a clean work area, while demonstrating your

commitment to safety

and quality workmanship Proactively preparing for upcoming work Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, determine layouts of electrical fixtures Diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Able to quote and complete projects in a timely manner Reports to the Facilities Services Manager and maintain communication with dispatch, parts and installation. Service, install and repair commercial coffee machines, commercial electric and gas ovens, dishwashers, and water filtration systems at the customer's site with a focus on timeliness and extremely high customer service. Willingness to be on call periodically for afterhours/weekend/holiday service (THIS JOB IS NOT MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9-5). Valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record and ability to provide a Drivers Abstract. Ability to drive long distances (paid). Must be able to lift at least 50-100 lbs.

Requirements



MUST be a

licenced Journeyperson

Electrician (Red Seal Preferred) Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools and equipment Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics Proficient in troubleshooting electrical solutions

Excellent problem-solving

skills with ability to work as a team or by yourself and attention to detail. Must have

very strong

customer service and communication skills with ability to go above and beyond Strong use of

mobile phone

applications for record keeping and

emails

. Strong attention to detail and safety protocols Valid Driver's License and clean drivers abstract (required) Clean criminal record (required)
