REPORTING TO:

Branch Supervisor

WAGE RATE:

$17.20/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensures the shelves are in good order so selection of books for exchange or requests can be done in a timely, efficient manner. Assists with other functions as determined by supervisor.

Hours of work:

Up to 12 hours per week. May include additional hours as needed.

Must be available to work evening, weekend, and some day-time hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 14 years of age, who is a quick learner, and able to complete on the job training.

Knowledge of basic computer skills and the Internet is essential.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of shelving systems, including the Dewey decimal system.

Knowledge of the community is an asset.
