Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice for a maternity leave with the potential for permanency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting and sterilization duties, with knowledge of periodontics and orthodontics an asset. Familiarity with CAD Tracker is a bonus.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and maintain patient records
- Manage the sterilization duties to the public health standards and documentation
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Experience in orthodontics and/or periodontics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Tracker software is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in dental assisting preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
