Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate lesson plans, engaging with children in meaningful activities, and collaborating with parents to support each child's growth.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of children aged 0-9years. Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration. Utilize effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Assess and document children's progress through observations and assessments. Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with disabilities or special needs. Maintain organization within the classroom, ensuring materials are accessible and conducive to learning. Lead activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience



A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Strong leadership qualities along with excellent time management and organizational skills are required. Proficiency in computer operation for documentation and communication purposes is necessary. Previous classroom experience is beneficial, as well as strong writing skills for lesson planning and reporting. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
