Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role requires effective communication skills, creativity, and the ability to engage with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience through teamwork and shared resources. Employ effective classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment. Provide support for children with special needs or disabilities, adapting teaching methods as required. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and the community to promote a supportive learning atmosphere. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and other documentation as needed.

Requirements



Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Must have Level 2/3. No Level 1 or currently enrolled in Level 2 at this point.

Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French/Spanish is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations is important. Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to balance multiple responsibilities effectively. Leadership qualities that inspire children and foster a positive learning environment. Proficient computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication purposes. Strong writing skills for documentation and reporting on student progress. Pay: From $16.50 per hour
