Advanced Respiratory Care Network provides a range of expertise in respirology, sleep medicine, internal medicine, cardiology and allergy in Alberta. We are looking for a full time Sleep Technician to work in our level 1 sleep lab in our Calgary SouthEast Clinic.
Our areas of diagnostics and therapeutics include Pulmonary Function Testing, Level 1 and Level 3 sleep testing, CPAP and BiPAP therapy, respiratory home care and home oxygen therapy, 24 hour BP monitoring, 24- and 48-hour holter monitoring and allergy testing. The areas of Specialized Physician Consultation include Pulmonology, Cardiology, Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine and Allergy.

The Role:
Are you a patient focused Certified Polysomnographic Technician, Registered Polysomnographic Technician, Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with excellent clinical skills looking for a new role?
Advanced Respiratory Care is presently recruiting for a clinical based role in our level 1 lab.
Availability to work evenings and weekdays to manage the Sleep Lab.
Hours
: Full-time, shifts are three weeks of nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (7pm to 7am) and one week on days Monday to Friday (8 am to 7 pm).
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive sleep studies and respiratory assessments to evaluate patient conditions.
Utilize medical terminology to document findings accurately and communicate with healthcare teams.
Monitor and analyze patient data during sleep studies, ensuring adherence to protocols.
Describing different procedures and addressing questions
Provide education and support to patients regarding sleep disorders and respiratory therapies.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
Work closely with Sleep Physician and/or Sleep Lab Manager to provide clinical care to patients
Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards in the sleep lab and respiratory therapy settings.
Requirements /Qualifications:
Involves direct patient contact by performing Level 1 lab testing, working night shifts
Ensures the proper performance relating to the accurate and safe operation of Sleep study and CPAP/BiPAP equipment
Resolving technical or equipment issues and follow up on patient care concerns
Prior experience as an overnight sleep technologist in an accredited sleep lab is an asset
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage a fast-paced environment
Action oriented, team player with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good knowledge of sleep breathing disorders with excellent knowledge in CPAP/BiPAP therapy is an asset
Familiarity with Infection Control Practices
Familiarity with Sleep Lab practices would be an asset.
