Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise various contracts, agreements, and business documents to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
Establish and improve internal compliance systems, legal policies, and risk-control procedures to ensure operations align with Canadian and international regulations.
Manage and protect the company's intellectual property, including brand assets, business materials, websites, and marketing content; handle copyright and infringement matters when required.
Assist in resolving client disputes, regulatory complaints, contract issues, and other potential legal risks.
Monitor changes in immigration, education, and related regulatory frameworks, providing timely legal and compliance advice to management.
Deliver compliance and risk-awareness training for internal teams, including sales, consulting, and management departments.
Collaborate with external legal counsel, regulatory agencies, and business partners to maintain effective communication and ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Law or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in legal, compliance, or risk management roles. Experience in education, immigration, or international consulting is an asset.
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and intellectual property protection.
Legal qualification in Canada or China is an advantage but
not required
.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high sense of responsibility and professionalism.
