Mazi Law Professional Corporation (formerly Rooz Law) is a boutique Personal Injury law firm located in the heart of North York. We handle Accident Benefits, motor vehicle accident tort claims, as well as slip & fall or trip & fall claims. The firm is seeking a legal assistant and/or law clerk to join our growing practice. Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years experience in personal injury required; Completion of accredited law clerk program or similar program required; Strong knowledge of Accident Benefits and Tort claims, including the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule and the Rules of Civil Procedure*;
Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced personal injury firm to meet deadlines; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent work ethics, with exceptional initiative, administrative, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Drafting and requesting productions from various third-parties, including doctors, clinics, hospitals, employers, government agencies, and more; Drafting and corresponding with clients, opposing counsels, and insurers; Proactive handling of personal injury matters from beginning to resolution, including drafting and submitting OCF forms, undertakings, s.33 requests, and more; Preparing various forms, case conference summaries, and documents for the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) and the Superior Court of Justice; Reviewing files on an ongoing basis to effectively track deadlines and timelines; Other duties as may be assigned
