Are you a self-motivated Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of experience? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic legal team at our client\xe2\x80\x99s Head Office in Vaughan. As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with the CEO and External Counsel, supporting their day-to-day legal functions and contributing to the continuous improvement of our client\xe2\x80\x99s legal operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Legal Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
Collaborating closely with the CEO and External Counsel to support their day-to-day legal functions.
Taking ownership of document retention and ensuring the upkeep of legal records for the corporation.
Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline legal operations, and implementing efficient processes.
Assisting in commercial transactions, including due diligence, planning, and execution.
Managing key contracts, creating summaries, and coordinating execution activities.
Supporting corporate affairs, including updating minute book contents and maintaining compliance with registrations and filings.
Acting as an internal point of contact for gathering documents related to claims and facilitating litigation processes.
Providing support in insurance and risk management activities, including annual policy renewals and correspondence with insurers and underwriters.
Overseeing real estate portfolio management, including lease tracking, tenant liaison, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably with broad range (full-service) experience.
A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to work independently.
Positive attitude and willingness to work with multiple departments.
