Job Description

Miles HR has an excellent permanent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join a well established and friendly law firm located in downtown Vancouver, BC! The ideal candidate will have experience working in corporate law and have their legal administration diploma or certificate. Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload are required.

About the Role:

  • Attending and taking notes at meetings and assisting lawyers in collecting legal and factual documents
  • Maintaining lawyer's calendar
  • Maintain files, records and documentation
  • Assist with other duties as required
About You:
  • Minimum 3 years administrative assistant experience in corporate law
  • A working knowledge of labour law, human rights law, or other areas of administrative law would be an asset, but not essential
  • Legal Diploma or Certificate
  • Experience using Cleo an asset
  • Technically savvy with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Strong working experience with a variety of databases
