Our client, a well established and friendly law firm, located in Richmond Hill, is looking to add a Litigation Legal Assistant to its team. This is a permanent full time role. This role is available because of growth!
While specialized training will be provided, the ideal candidate will have a foundation in litigation and a keen interest in learning. An upbeat personality, confidence, organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are all required in order to be successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains an efficient and organized file management system
Produces correspondence and documents both independently and from dictation
Processes billing and invoicing
Assists in management of practice including opening files, arranging meetings, filing court documents, scheduling hearing dates, communicating with clients, etc.
Communicates with clients, court personnel, and service providers
Performs general office and clerical duties
Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and demonstrate the following:
A certificate/diploma in an accredited Law Clerk/Legal Administration/Paralegal Program is preferred but is not a requirement.
A minimum of 6 months experience working as a Litigation Assistant in a Litigation practice
Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with One-key, Justice Services Online and CaseCentre is an asset, but training will be provided
