We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong legal knowledge and exceptional writing skills to contribute meaningfully to our diverse practice. In this role, the legal assistant will be responsible for drafting a wide range of legal documents and providing essential support to our partners and associates.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare correspondence, briefs, affidavits, motions, contracts, agreements and other documents
Arrange for filing and service of court documents
Liaise with clients and other related parties
Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for review and case preparation
File management and document administration
Assist counsel in preparing for and attending court
Performing other legal administrative tasks as required
Required Knowledge & Experience
A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
A high level of initiative
Resourceful and perceptive with a willingness to learn
Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Understanding of legal language, court pleadings and processes would be preferred
