Our Business Law Group is currently looking for a full-time, in-office Corporate Assistant, who has experience working in a fast-paced law firm.

Qualifications:



Minimum 2 years' experience as a legal assistant in the area of Corporate Law

Some experience in Estates work would also be beneficial

Experience drafting, editing, and formatting corporate (and estate) documents is essential

Experience drafting annual corporate minutes, is preferred

Skills:



Ability to manage the day-to-day administrative tasks for one lawyer, including managing a calendar, opening files, invoicing, and docketing

Ability to schedule meetings (including Zoom meetings) and communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and other professionals

Ability to manage priorities and ensure all deadlines are met

Ability to multi-task and complete work with great accuracy

Ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision, take initiative when required, and be efficient with time management

Strong organizational skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, which are necessary to draft correspondence and legal documents

Use of transcription software for doing dictation is beneficial

Use of Microsoft programs, including Word and Outlook is essential

Use of legal software, including ActionStep (formerly Soluno), Filevine, and MinuteBox is beneficial, but not necessary
