About Us:
We are a reputable law firm based in Lethbridge, Alberta, specializing in commercial real estate transactions. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial real estate transactions from inception to completion, including purchases, sales, and financing
Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, leases, easements, and financing agreements
Conduct title and off-title searches, and prepare corresponding reports
Coordinate with clients, lenders, municipal offices, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions
Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, both electronic and physical
Assist with the preparation of closing documents and ensure timely registration with land title offices
Provide administrative support to lawyers, including calendar management and correspondence
Qualifications:
Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent certification
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial real estate law
Proficiency in legal software such as Unity, Conveyancer, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of Alberta's real estate laws and procedures
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
The salary for this position is competitive and will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
