Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
The Department of Accounting and Business Analytics is accepting applications for a full-time Academic Teaching Staff position for a 3-year term appointment beginning July 1, 2026.

Reporting to the Department Chair, the position will include the following responsibilities:
Teach a diverse set of accounting courses (8 sections) to undergraduate and graduate students, including introductory and elective course on auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, individual tax, corporate tax and financial reporting for managers and analysts
Prepare course syllabi, course materials, assignments, exams, and assign grades
Evaluate student performance progress and provide appropriate and timely feedback according to department protocols
Teach various seminar and boot camp sessions in addition to the courses taught to undergraduate and graduate students which will give students hands on experience with accounting
Teach various case base courses like managerial control systems
Remain abreast with relevant literature in accounting and tax as it applies to their teaching resources and activities
Participate in department activities including advising student clubs and coaching students for case competitions
Develop curriculum and material for new accounting courses
Applicants must have a CPA designation and/or a Master's degree or higher preferred in a discipline that is relevant to teaching accounting, such as audit, education, financial accounting, management accounting or taxation. An equivalent combination of education, teaching experience or industry experience will be considered
Demonstrated teaching excellence at the post-secondary level
Applicants must have expert knowledge of accounting software
Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Facilitation, negotiation and problem solving skills and an ability to handle challenging student situations
