Working enthusiastically and collaboratively with fellow site staff, prospective and current tenants, vendor partners, and the Head Office support team, the Leasing Specialist & Tenant Liaison is primarily responsible for leasing, rent collection, and customer service. Success in the position will be gauged by overall occupancy and rent collection, tenant retention, customer satisfaction, and site upkeep.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a warm and welcoming experience as the first point of contact for many customers and site visitors
Promote property, promotions, community events/initiatives, and company brand
Schedule and conduct showings and open houses while encouraging prospective tenants to apply
Monitor and report on call/text/email traffic patterns, as well as any common objections from prospects
Develop and maintain an awareness of the local market and competitor offerings
Process applications, background and credit checks, and other screening methods
Facilitate and see through lease signing appointments, move-in/out inspections, and maintenance requests
Rent collection and payment processing
Distribution of tenant correspondence and processing of renewals and evictions
Log tenant concerns and work with the Property Manager to resolve them
Ongoing management and updating of the tenant database, rent roll, and access control list
Conduct regular suite/property inspections and report findings to the Property Manager
Report generation, administrative tasks, and special projects as assigned
Participate in and assist in the management of community events/initiatives

Occupancy and accounts receivable levels
Lead to lease conversion ratio
Retention/renewal levels
Customer service and tenant satisfaction
Maintenance request completion rate
General market awareness
Well-attended and robust community events
Implementation and effectiveness of community/resident services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a similar customer-facing role
Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act
College diploma or Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing preferred, but not required
A strong work ethic combined with a high level of enthusiasm, attention-to-detail, reliability, and dedication
