Golden Equity Properties has been specializing in the acquisition and management of multi-unit residential properties in the Quebec and Ontario markets since 2001.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Leasing Agent to join our growing team and to handle multiple locations in Ottawa

What You Will Do

Meeting with prospective tenants and accompanying them on viewings of vacant apartment units.

Preparing rental applications and all documentation necessary for the Landlord's office to approve the applications.

Draft the tenancy agreements; and conducting relevant background and reference checks

Assisting the Regional Manager in all Landlord and Tenant Board matters, such as the filing of proceedings and attendance at hearings.

Providing rental collection support and general administrative support to the Regional Manager, as needed; and

Any other tasks that may reasonably be required from time to time, and that are consistent with your role as Leasing and Administrative Assistant.

Stay knowledgeable of the property market status

Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals

Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically

Qualifying prospective residents to determine their needs & suitability as renters

Maintains current awareness of industry practices and trends

Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to The Role

3-5 years related experience

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices

Up to date with property market status

MS Office familiarity

Customer service orientation

Must have a vehicle
