We are seeking a professional and personable Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, engaging with prospective tenants, and maintaining positive relationships with current residents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where excellent customer service and organizational skills are essential. The Leasing Agent will play a key role in ensuring occupancy goals are met while providing exceptional service to all clients.
Responsibilities
Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, highlighting features and amenities
Manage leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating strong phone etiquette
Utilize property management software such as Yardi to input data, process applications, and maintain accurate records
Assist with the application process, including screening applicants and verifying references
Prepare lease agreements and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently
Follow up with prospects to convert inquiries into signed leases and maintain ongoing communication to foster positive customer relationships
Maintain organized filing systems for tenant records, lease documents, and correspondence
Collaborate with maintenance teams using CMMS systems to coordinate move-ins and address property needs
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
Qualifications
Prior experience in office administration, property management, or leasing preferred
Strong knowledge of Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously
Proven sales ability with a focus on negotiation and closing deals effectively
Experience in data entry, filing, and administrative support functions
Knowledge of CMMS systems is a plus
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records
Strong communication skills including effective phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
