Position Overview:
The Learning Specialist plays a key role in developing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions that support organizational goals and employee development. They will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), managers, and other stakeholders to assess training needs, design engaging learning experiences, and ensure effective implementation. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deliver in-person, virtual and eLearning training solutions
Facilitate employee onboarding, workshops, and learning sessions
Customize learning programs to meet department-specific needs
Conduct learning needs assessments through interviews, surveys, and data analysis
Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with L&D management to recommend training strategies aligned with business objectives
Develop engaging and interactive course materials, presentations, job aids, and eLearning modules
Source and curate external content to supplement learning resources
Assist in the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking participation, reporting, and evaluations
Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling and communication
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using surveys, assessments, and performance data
Implement continuous improvement strategies based on learner feedback and business outcomes
Partner with HR and business leaders to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
Act as a resource for employees seeking development opportunities
Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent
2-4 years experience in learning and development, training, or instructional design roles
Facilitation and presentation skills
Proficiency in instructional design tools and LMS platforms
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to analyze data and report learning outcomes
Knowledge of the financial services industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Collaboration and stakeholder engagement
Continuous learning and adaptability
