Reporting to the CHRO, the

Learning & Development Specialist

is responsible for designing, developing and implementing talent management programs to enhance capabilities, support succession planning and ensure our workforce has the competencies our organization needs now and in the future.

In this role, you will:

Facilitate the succession planning and employment development planning processes for the organization and assist in the delivery of a full scope learning & development calendar for the business. Support leaders in effective talent development programs with a keen focus on supporting and developing employees to reach their full potential. Identify the organization's L&D needs by conducting a needs analysis of the organization's learning needs by consulting organizational leaders and HR, analyzing data, and conducting research. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver customized L&D initiatives using a variety of learning methods including facilitation, webinars, roundtables, etc. Evaluate the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics, to measure the value of development initiatives and use data to make the case for additional investments in future development programs. Collaborate with functional areas to develop ways for operations to support learning, development, change, and performance management, and direct the implementation of technology to support learning throughout the organization. Develop and foster value-added partnerships with institutions and other external learning program providers. Foster an organizational culture where each employee feels a sense of belonging, inclusion and respect each day. Foster a culture in which the organization recognizes the value of diverse perspectives in building a workplace where we all can reach our full potential. Support the identification of high potential talent within the organization and collaborate with the department on succession planning development. Assist in the development and ongoing management of the budget for L&D programs and initiatives and participate in cost-benefit analyses of programs and initiatives. Research new trends and approaches in the learning industry, and serve as a champion for a learning culture in the organization. Provide recommendations on continuous improvement activities and recommend efficiencies in the way we work

You have:

Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field. Learning & Development Certification, CPHR Designation, or equivalent 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Well-developed communication skills with significant experience facilitating technical and competency-based training and development programs. A consummate relationship builder who can build rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders alike. Strong technology skills with proficiency in a variety of Social Media platforms and Microsoft Office is required and experience using ADP Workforce Now is an asset. Ability to work well under pressure, in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment. Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and autonomy Operates with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively.
