We are seeking a high-energy and versatile individual to join our team as a Learning and Development Coordinator at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. In this role, you will be dedicated to fostering employee growth and development through the planning, communication, and execution of training programs.
This position requires a blend of administrative and facilitation skills. The successful candidate must excel in organization and communication, thrive when working independently, take initiative, and handle repetitive tasks with efficiency. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure the accuracy, effectiveness, and seamless execution of training communication, preparation, and delivery.
At the Fairmont Banff Springs, we believe learning should be fun, which is why we're looking for someone who brings creativity and innovation to their training approach, with a facilitation style that is engaging, passionate, and flexible.This role requires confidence and the ability to comfortably present trainings to groups of 8 to 100+ participants, ensuring every session is impactful and memorable.
Competitive Salary:
$50,000 - $53,500 gross annually, based on previous experience & education
Job Duties Include:
Deliver and model luxury, professional, and engaging service while coordinating a world-class onboarding experience for new colleagues.
Organize, facilitate, and support training sessions, including colleague-level and leadership development programs.
Design and promote training opportunities through calendars, advertisements, and social media to drive engagement and attendance.
Manage training logistics and records, including sign-ups, attendance tracking, training materials, and INES system administration.
Partner with leaders, departments, and external trainers to create impactful learning resources and provide ongoing support for trainers.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in learning and development and facilitation is required
Experience in creating and implementing training materials is required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
Experience in the luxury hotel/hospitality industry is required
Experience in Human Resources/Talent and Culture is an asset
University or College degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline is an asset
Proficiency with graphic design software, such as Canva, is an asset
Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram is an asset
Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented with the ability prioritize, remain flexible and work well under pressure
Innovation and creative
Ability to analyze data and trends and develop strategies for improvement
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Ability to support a collaborative environment and demonstrate a teamwork mentality
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
