What are your contributions to the team?
Lead teams to ensure alignment on priorities.
Support daily production floor meetings to communicate priorities and maintain consistency with your team.
Manage supplier non-conformities, line checks, and disclosures on the production line.
Collect data and perform preliminary assessments of defects and investigations arising during production.
Supervise a team that acts as a liaison between supplier corrective action teams and operational management across a 4-shift schedule (day, evening, night, weekend).
Work closely with the Corrective Action Manager to implement proactive and reactive containment solutions for supplier quality issues and trends, aiming to reduce disruptions and non-standard work.
Coach and train your team in gathering information and preparing PSSs, 4-blockers, and presentations.
Support management in collecting information and preparing presentations.
Attend key meetings and reviews such as Operations Corrective Action Reviews, supplier calls, quality reviews, and weekly/monthly/quarterly intersite or supplier meetings to drive performance improvement.
Demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, project management skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
Support, mentor, and motivate a team of Supplier Quality Technicians to ensure product conformity and promote continuous improvement.
Maintain and develop team skills while ensuring compliance with internal tools and documentation/policies (QDs, QADs, QAPIs).
Apply problem-solving techniques, Six Sigma methodology, Kaizen, and other quality tools to reduce supplier non-conformities.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve key issues and support the business by implementing containment plans at supplier sites.
Drive daily team results and priorities while maintaining a long-term improvement roadmap.
Manage requests and priorities based on business needs.

How to thrive in this role?
University degree in a technical field, quality management, or project management.
Minimum of 5 years' management experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Continuous Improvement.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment (AS9100, ISO, SMS).
Familiarity with unionized environments and collective agreements (considered an asset).
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
High standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability, with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
Experience or knowledge in supplier audits (process and product).
Proficient in structured and analytical problem-solving techniques (Kepner Tregoe is an asset).
Effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of quality tools such as Andon, containment, and corrective action methodologies.
Understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and CATIA (asset).
Experience with CAPA processes and cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction planning.
Familiarity with aircraft systems and structures.
Strong skills in statistics and computer software.
Knowledge of product conformity and certification requirements.
Understanding of airworthiness regulations.
