BHP\'s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan\'s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.Jansen\'s construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.PurposeReporting to the Organizational Readiness Manager, the Lead Workforce Plan & Strategy maintains the Strategic Workforce Plan aligning to established business and operational goals. This role plays a critical part in supporting the advancement of talent pipelines and success of people development initiatives.About the RoleIn this role, you will:

  • Manage the Operational Workforce plan and plays a key interface between hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, HR and program owners.
  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning activities including organizational change development, communications and workforce initiative coordination, management and reporting.
  • Manage all data and reporting associated with the workforce plan and diversity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR and line leaders to mature Strategic Workforce Planning practices, routines, embed tools and process.
  • Maintain employee attraction and retention model and trigger root cause analysis when not achieving predicted outcomes.
  • Monitor external labour availability data and provides analysis to support adjustments to recruitment strategies.
About You
  • 8+ years experience in a large, global, corporate organization in a Workforce Planning, or Consulting
  • Degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Strategy, or a related field.
  • Advanced statistical and data analysis.
  • Advanced Data Science training.
  • Experience working with Microsoft PowerBI / Spotfire programs.
  • Experience in Mining or related industry preferred.
