Relief Restorations Inc. is a trusted restoration company specializing in water damage, fire & smoke damage, mould remediation, asbestos abatement, and light demolition. As we grow, we're looking to expand our team with a dependable, hands-on Lead Technician who is ready to take ownership of job sites and support the development of junior team members.
Job Summary:
The Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on residential and commercial restoration projects. This includes setting up job sites, leading and working alongside the crew, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining clear communication with management and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
Supervise, train, and support crew members on-site
Set up and maintain containment, negative air, and decontamination zones
Perform demolition, cleaning, material handling, and equipment operation
Complete job documentation, including site notes and photo records
Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including PPE use and decontamination procedures
Maintain and manage tools, vehicles, and job-related equipment
Continued training and certification completion to ensure you're up to date on the latest restoration protocol
Ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope budget
Requirements:
Previous experience in restoration, remediation, or a construction-related trade
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lift a minimum of 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various conditions
Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record (ability to pull trailer considered an asset)
Ability to read and follow scopes of work and safety procedures
Experience with asbestos, mould, or water/fire damage restoration is an asset
IICRC or other relevant certifications are considered an asset
CSA approved work boots required; all other safety PPE supplied
Additional Details:
Overtime, out-of-town work, and after-hours or on-call work may be required
Must be available for emergency calls when scheduled
Per diem and accommodations provided for out-of-town work
Technicians are required to be clean-shaven to accommodate Manitoba safety requirements for respirators
Our shop is located in Oak Bluff, just outside the Winnipeg perimeter. Team members are expected to report to the shop or directly to job sites, depending on the project, location and proximity to your residence.
Continuous education is a major part of this position with certifications, and ongoing training.
