Position Overview
As Lead Retail Associate at Cabot Cape Breton, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. You will oversee the daily operations of the Golf Shop, manage inventory, and maintain the highest standards of customer service. In addition to leading and mentoring the retail team, your primary focus will be on enhancing the guest experience--ensuring the golf shop is welcoming, well-organized, and fully stocked with quality golf products. A passion for golf, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential in this role. You will contribute directly to the overall satisfaction of our golfing guests, enhancing their enjoyment of Cabot Cape Breton's world-class golf facilities.

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy:• Customer Engagement: Take satisfaction in engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing personalized assistance to help them find the right golfing products and accessories.
• Merchandise Management: Enjoy managing inventory, arranging product displays, and ensuring the Golf Shop is well-organized and aesthetically pleasing for customers.
• Product Knowledge: Have a keen interest in golf equipment, being knowledgeable about different brands, technologies, and trends in the golf industry. Enjoy sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed decisions.
• Customer Education: Take pleasure in educating customers about the features and benefits of various golf products, helping them improve their game and enhancing their overall golfing experience.



Preferred qualifications and skills:• High school diploma
• Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple duties under pressure
• Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to work flexible hours - weekends and evenings as required
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Minimum 1 year Retail Experience.



Requirements of the role you should be aware of:• Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
• As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
• Our retail positions offer a fast-paced work environment, where everyone pitches in and participates in all functions
• All store positions require constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching and grasping.
• To best perform these responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and, on the phone.
• Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected
• Based on the nature of this position, you would experience long periods of guest interactions
• Ability to resolve employee complaints
• Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving luggage, golf clubs, and objects up to 80 lbs in weight
