The Lead, QA is a key hands-on role. You\'ll utilize your expert communication skills to ensure product owners and developers are aware of testing progress and product release readiness. In addition to this you\'ll also support building out the QA as a Service practice, supporting various ATCO businesses with their testing needs. What We Offer:

Who you are:
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback
  • Ability to respond to and proactively follow up on urgent customer concerns and system incident management.
  • Quarterback system errors and process gaps with squads and third parties to resolution
  • Grow the QA practice to gain process efficiencies and build standards to support a growing team
  • Ensure QA team support is managed across array of projects, to ensure expedient delivery of solutions to customers.
  • Provide feedback to QA team members to improve personal growth and ensure the team is focused on department goals.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Determine process improvements to QA practices and work to implement in a timely manner.
  • Provide 1 on 1 mentorship and career development paths for team members
  • Assist with recruitment processes
What you have:
  • 7-10 years experience with a college or university degree
  • You\'re a people person. Seriously - we can\'t stress this enough. You\'re all about building and maintaining awesome relationships with team members, customers, colleagues, vendors and practically anyone else you meet. Well-honed people skills and business finesse are essential.
  • In depth understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of Jira, Jira plugins to support release management, and Confluence
  • A drive to maintain a usable DevOps process as related to testing upcoming releases to customers
  • Business mindset with very good numerical & analytical skills, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, creating efficiencies and economies of scale
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, an excellent organizational and planning skills and an improvement-focused mind able to challenge the norm
  • Communication skills are critical. Both verbal and written communication skills will be essential in producing the results required for the role.
  • You can work effectively across a cross-functional team while supporting conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • You\'re a tenacious problem solver. You excel at uncovering opportunities and implementing processes that make the world - or at least our business - run smoothly.
