is a family run farm to table operation, spanning three generations and 54 acres of farmland. We're looking for the right candidate to lead our kitchen prep team through our busy season (starting March or April 1st until October 31st). The ideal candidate will be interested in multiple seasons at the farm, or possibly a full time, permanent position if it's the right fit.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards and are served efficiently. Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and measuring food items
Support cooking processes by following established procedures and maintaining consistency in meal presentation
Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Assist with organizing supplies and stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
Qualifications
Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is required
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards. Food Safe Level 1 is required
Strong understanding of serving procedures and meal presentation
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude
Food industry or restaurant experience is required; willingness to learn is essential
