As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will join a distinguished real estate development team renowned for its expertise in designing, building, and managing state-of-the-art commercial buildings and facilities. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design and approval of mechanical engineering works for new commercial construction and renovation projects, working as part of a self-performing construction team. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers and collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.   • Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, offering guidance and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to create integrated design solutions that align with project requirements and client expectations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure mechanical systems are installed and functioning according to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical drawings, specifications, and documents prepared by internal teams and external consultants.
  • Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to discuss project requirements, address issues, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering and construction.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Systems Engineering with P.Eng. designation (or eligibility to register) in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in commercial and industrial construction projects, with a preference for consulting office experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams effectively.
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC design, plumbing systems, and fire protection.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk software.
  • Knowledgeable about the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), Plumbing Code, Gas Code, NFPA, and applicable industry regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strong communication skill
