Digital Document Handling (DDH) team is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to help drive the Transformational, Regulatory and Technology Modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep agile delivery experience who can guide teams through medium-to-complex projects that seamlessly align with both business priorities and technical needs.
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will coach and guide teams to embrace agile principles, foster collaboration, and remove delivery roadblocks. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business System Analysts, and Solution teams to ensure dependencies are identified early, risks are managed proactively, and projects are executed effectively.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead Agile Delivery:
Facilitate medium to high complexity agile initiatives from initiation through delivery
Provide oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices
Identify, track, and manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments
Provide transparency into delivery healthy through clear reporting of status, milestones and risks
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in agile maturity, delivery quality and collaboration
Team activity facilitation:
Facilitate discussions leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team.
Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, problem-solving, and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges.
Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment.
Cross-functional Communication:
Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes
Facilitate status updates, product demos and retrospectives, ensure timely and accurate project reporting
Coaching:
With the assistance from Agile CoE, provide proactive coaching to the team and recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Project / Program Agile delivery experience (medium-to-large scale initiatives) in a dependent multi-agile team environment, using influence to facilitate to outcomes, including practical experience facilitating all key Scrum ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives.
Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well documented Agile techniques (User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous testing, etc.).
Experience providing team level metrics on a sprint by sprint basis around key performance indicators and provide a release level burn up to project anticipated release dates for the next product increment.
Experience producing sprint burndowns to track intra sprint progress and highlight areas of improvement for future sprints.
Advanced knowledge of Atlassian products (specifically Jira and Confluence).
Certified Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner

Additional Agile certificaiton (e.g. SAFe) is an asset
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
Experience managing enterprise and digital projects
Working knowledge of Planview Enterprise One
