Essential Functions





The DAVACO Lead Installer reports to the Operations Manager. While on site the Lead Installer reports to the assigned Project Manager. The Lead Installer is DAVACO's representative at a construction site. The Lead Installer directs and coordinates the activities of the various trade groups such as Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Drywall Specialists, Painters, and Welders on site. The Lead Installer is active in physically completing tasks as a working partner to the construction team.



Responsibilities include making sure that the work progresses according to schedule, that material and equipment are delivered to the site on time, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another. Some or most of these tradespeople may be employed by DAVACO, Inc. As the Lead on site, you may be asked to perform installation duties that are in direct correspondence to your certification level.




Job Attributes and Skills




Communication:


Effectively communicate with all levels of the DAVACO organization, as well as temporary personnel, subcontractors, outsource partners and client representatives. Review field issues and opportunities with the Field Project Manager you are working with on a project or if none are assigned review with the Project Manager directly. Ensure all Client Portal information, job reports and documents are submitted correctly and on time. Ensure positive communications with all people associated with the project and especially all client representatives. Complete field employee Job performance evaluations on every job and send them to your Divisional Manager.

Field Execution:


Ensure your crew and the job site meet all DAVACO requirements for appearance, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings, construction drawings, and all electrical plans, lighting plans, and all construction codes as affected by local and state ordinances. Perform "hands-on" carpentry and construction duties to meet the time and action plan and any deadlines. Perform "hands on" electrical installation duties as requested by the Project manager. Delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinate DAVACO crewmembers as appropriate. Follow-up, inspect, correct. Quality control check on assigned projects. Prioritize work, responsible for the project layout/timeline, scheduling of all trades and deliveries, coordinating all job site activities and working with mall management to ensure workflow is in line with all deadlines. Track change orders and complete required reporting that includes daily logs of trades on site and daily progress. Notify Project Manager of fixture and material shipments. Motivate employees on assigned jobs.

Field Leadership and Training:


Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, mentor, and develop crew members assigned to projects. Supervise, motivate, mentor instruct. Develop the skills and professionalism of crew assigned to your projects.

Safety:


Implement corporate safety procedures, ensure job site safety is a priority, and safety standards are followed. Report to the Operations Manager any and all serious or non-serious safety violations that risk or cause harm to others or property.



Minimum Requirements

:


Commercial experience, highly preferred. Plumbing, Tile and Veneer Laminate installation experience, an asset. Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Smartsheet and smartphone use. Always have in your possession certifications related to your title. Ability to maintain a positive attitude, motivation, and composure. Adaptable to unforeseen situations readily and effectively, coping well with stress. Work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to manage up to 4 people onsite, including sub-trades. Take initiative, be proactive, and anticipate adverse circumstances and rapidly changing situations. Be prepared with viable solutions/alternatives to resolve reoccurring problems. Ensure all materials are on-site as scheduled according to the timeline. Work with the corporate office to resolve ongoing problems. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to supervise and excel at the most difficult types of finish out projects. Quickly learn and implement new accounts with minimum training. Read/interpret blueprints with thorough understanding of floor plans, fixture placement drawings, and construction drawings as they pertain to wall layout and placement of openings. Demonstrated ability to manage, coordinate entry-level subcontractor work, and work with and around other trades and vendors retained by clients. Demonstrated ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget. Excellent safety record on previous job sites. Solid record of implementing and being responsible for corporate safety standards. Manage crews for the electrical installations on constructions of high-end projects including service, branch circuits and trim outs, lighting, panels, J-Box, lock out, etc.
