Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee construction projects and ensure the successful execution of site activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a solid understanding of construction management processes. This role involves supervising team members, coordinating project tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Lead Hand will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between management and on-site workers, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Duties

Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety protocols Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide onsite work Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project tracking and documentation Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specified standards Assist in budgeting and construction estimating tasks to support project planning Monitor progress and report on project milestones, addressing any issues promptly Provide guidance and supervision to onsite workers, fostering a safe and productive work environment Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Experience

Proven supervising experience in the construction industry or related field Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and budgeting processes Experience in quality control procedures within construction projects Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Prior experience supervising teams on large-scale construction sites is highly desirable Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction environments
