Lead Hand Technician

The Lead Hand directs and supports Technicians to ensure efficient, quality work on equipment while building long-term customer relationships and producing profits for the company. Will also perform Technician's work including diagnostics, repair, paperwork, and ensures shop cleanliness & safety.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

5+ years' experience in heavy duty truck and trailer mechanics Journeyman designation is preferred Previous supervision experience preferred Valid Class 1 with Air Driver's License an asset (for road testing) an asset Safety Inspections Certificate an asset A team player with a strong commitment to the customer Proven leadership skills including motivating, coaching, and training Demonstrated quality control skills and attention to detail Organized, sets priorities and meets deadlines Strong problem solving and decision-making skills Excellent fact finding and analytical skills Basic computer skills and learning ability of programs used internally Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform demanding physical activities Familiar with the tools of the trade and equipped with adequate tools Reliable means of transportation (there is no public transportation service near the workplace)

WHAT WE OFFER:

Lead Hand wage premium

A 'Tool and Boot' Allowance of 100% reimbursement to a maximum of $700 per calendar year

Maxim will pay for 100% of eligible course and book expenses to a maximum of $1000 per level of Apprenticeship Training
