We are seeking a dependable and motivated

Production Lead Hand

to support daily operations within our production facility. This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing a designated area or team, ensuring production targets are met, product quality is maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide direction and support to production team members to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate workflow. Oversee line setup, start-up procedures, and product changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Monitor product quality and production standards throughout the shift, collaborating with QA and other departments when needed. Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is operating effectively and escalate any mechanical issues to maintenance. Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and line adjustments using tools such as Redzone or other tracking systems. Support training and onboarding of new team members and provide on-the-job coaching to drive performance and consistency. Enforce and promote workplace safety, hygiene, and food safety practices at all times. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to support smooth operational flow and resolve issues promptly. Assist with staffing coordination, break schedules, and shift handovers to maintain continuous production flow.

Experience

Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools. Demonstrated leadership ability and team coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with production tracking systems is an asset. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and operational standards.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced production environment; standing, walking, and lifting required for extended periods. Exposure to cold, wet, and noisy conditions depending on department. Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required at all times.
